It’s been nearly 20 years since we have seen a sapphire of this color and size come to auction!

On October 7, 2020, Sotheby’s Hong Kong will hold an auction for a stunning, 118.88 carat blue sapphire stone. The SSEF & Gübelin labs have examined and graded the color of this unheated, Burmese Sapphire as “royal blue” – truly fit for a king or queen!

The shape of the blue sapphire is cushion-cut, and is held within a platinum pendant setting surrounded by a halo of 16.06, total carat weight, pear-shaped diamonds.
