Best Places to Propose in Nashville

Calling all music lovers! It's time to head to the music capital of the South -- Nashville, Tennessee. For more than 130 years, Nashville has been called the world's Music City, and for good reason, too. It's home to the Grand Ole Opry, United Record Pressing (the largest volume producing vinyl record plant), the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and much more. Artists ranging from Bon Jovi to Michael Buble venture to Nashville to record and write, as well as to find inspiration.

This city is a living and breathing ode to the love of music, and it's this love that connects the city to its people. So if music means a lot to your sweetheart or you as a couple, Nashville might be the perfect city to get down on one knee with an engagement ring. Let's look at some of Nashville's best places to propose:

The Ryman Auditorium

This item on our best places to propose list is for all the country music lovers. This national historic landmark used to be home to the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974. Even before that, the Ryman Auditorium was used as a cultural epicenter. You can take a guided group tour or a self-guided tour. If you want to propose here, I recommend calling ahead to see if they can assist in some way (for example, clearing a spot for you or doing a guided tour with just the two of you).

Arrington Vineyards

The Arrington Vineyards aren't technically in Nashville, but they're only 25 miles away and too beautiful not make this list! If you're looking for a picturesque spot for a picnic, this is ideal. They also host free wine tastings everyday and have live music on the weekends. Just imagine sitting under the sunset while listening to music and sipping a crisp glass of wine. Doesn't that sound like the perfect opportunity to present her with a sparkling diamond engagement ring?

Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge

Want to gaze at the city in all its glory? Take a trip to the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge, one of the most romantic places to propose in Nashville. There, you'll find a gorgeous view of the Nashville skyline. This would be another perfect spot for a sunset proposal. Or, if you want it to be a little more intimate, try persuading your sweetheart to go on an early morning stroll with you. Then, use the skyline at sunrise to as a backdrop when you propose with the perfect wedding ring set!

Opryland Hotel

This expansive resort is right on the banks of the Cumberland River. The Opryland Hotel and Resort has climate-controlled glass atriums and more than nine acres of indoor gardens. In those gardens, you'll find several intimate waterfalls...and I'm not sure it gets much more romantic than waterfalls. If you want to make a big event out of the proposal, you could surprise your partner with a trip to this resort that includes a spa package and a romantic dinner. After she's been pampered and well-fed, lead her into the gardens and pop the question!
