1. Little Italy in The Bronx

Take a trip across the boroughs to Little Italy for delicious comfort food and an intimate settings in the local restaurants. Order yourselves a basket of garlic bread, and a bottle of wine. Revel in the ambient lighting of the pre-dripped candle in the middle of your table. After you’ve indulged in a decadent Italian meal, you can cheers with a couple of glasses of Merlot to a lovely evening, and that’s when you pop the question! 2. The Bronx Zoo

Step into another world when you enter the steamy, tropical paradise that is the Bronx Zoo butterfly garden. Without spending the money on an exotic vacation, you will find yourself transported to a virtual Eden. For the affordable entrance price of $6, this striking exhibit offers an excellent location to propose on a budget. Just find a hidden corner as you meander through the lush foliage, and get down on one knee to pop the question. 3. The New York Botanical Garden

For the last 120 years, the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx has been one of New York’s most beautiful places. Plan a walking tour through different gardens and exhibitions using the NYBG app, then propose in the fragrant Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden or one of the four colorful “rooms” of the Perennial Garden. Surrounded by roses, get down on one knee, open up the little red ring box and present the floral inspired engagement ring.

4. Yankee Stadium

For the die-hard sports fans of New York, this one’s for you! Get a pair of tickets to a Yankees baseball game, order yourself some stadium hot dogs or cracker jacks or a hot pretzel, and a couple of drinks to capture the full experience. 5. Wave Hill Public Garden

A proposal with a view! Take a walk along the scenic trails of the Wave Hill Public Garden, with views of the Hudson River for a picturesque setting to propose to the love of your life. You can be sly and suggest capturing a photo of you two among nature, but instead of just getting a picture, you can record the whole thing! whether you prop your device up against a tree, or you have a selfie stick or a mini tri-pod, you won’t regret taking this step to orchestrate your proposal.
