Best Places to Propose in Salt Lake City, UT

by Kirsten Clark on Jul 04 in Proposal

Salt Lake City is the most populous city in Utah and doesn't lack in entertainment. It has activities like skiing, mountain biking, and hiking trails for those who love the outdoors, but it also offers attractions like Temple Square for those who are more interested in exploring the city itself. If you find yourself thinking about popping the question in this fantastic city, here are five of the best places to propose.

1. Skiing

Do you and your sweetheart love to ski? Why not take advantage of the many ski resort opportunities in Salt Lake City and propose to the love of your life during a favorite activity? Maybe you could pop the question on the ski lift or right before you take off down the hill, leaving her to chase after you.

2. Temple Square

Temple Square is Utah’s most popular tourist destination, which makes it a great spot for a public proposal. This 35-acre site has a lot to offer: restaurants, tours, and a beautiful garden. This site also offers approximately 2,000 free events each year, so if you plan in advance, you can pick one to propose with a diamond cluster ring

3. Liberty Park and Tracy Aviary

If you both love the outdoors, Liberty Park or Tracy Aviary might be the perfect spot to pop the question. Liberty Park offers trails, playgrounds, boat rentals, a duck pond, and much more. The Tracy Aviary is located in Liberty Park and is one of only two free-standing aviaries in the U.S. This would be the place to propose for all those bird-lovers out there.

4. Hogle Zoo

If your sweetheart is a big animal lover, the Hogle Zoo might provide the perfect opportunity for you to propose. This zoo, which is home to over 800 animals, has been around since the 1930s and is the top paid-for tourist attraction in Salt Lake City. You can even sign up to have a more hands-on experience with some of the animals.

5. At a Great Restaurant

Log Haven, located in a historic log mansion in Wasatch National Forest, serves New American cuisine and is considered to be one of the most romantic and delicious restaurants in Salt Lake City. The Roof, which has an international menu and offers a magnificent view of Temple Square and Downtown Salt Lake city, is another great restaurant option!
