Best Places to Propose in Yosemite National Park

If you and your significant other are nature lovers, Yosemite National Park might be the perfect place for you to pop that all-important question. Yosemite is one of the most beautiful spots in the country, but where in Yosemite should you choose? This national park spans across 1,200 square feet, so let's discuss the best places to propose within this magnificent park.

During an Activity

Did you know you can go horseback riding in Yosemite? And that's only one of the many activities the park offers. Take your sweetheart hiking, fishing, or rock climbing. If you and your partner are the active type, consider presenting a sparkling diamond cluster ring in the middle of one of these exciting activities. You can even plan it with your guide to make sure you propose in the best spot!

Sentinel Dome

If you want a spectacular view of Yosemite as the backdrop of your proposal, look no further than Sentinel Dome. This is located on the south wall of Yosemite Valley, and it will probably take you an hour or two to hike there, but it's worth the effort. It's not just the breathtaking scenery that makes this one of Yosemite's best places to propose-- it's also home to one of the world's most famous dead trees, Jeffrey pine (which was made famous by this photograph).

Tuolumne Meadows

If you're looking for a peaceful spot to get on one knee, consider Tuolumne Meadows. The Tuolumne River runs through this meadow, which makes this location even more tranquil and dreamy. Imagine having a picnic with the love of your life in this meadow and suddenly turning to him or her with a diamond ring in hand. Sounds pretty fantastic, right?

Yosemite Falls

There are very few things more romantic than a waterfall. Yosemite is home to  countless waterfalls, but Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in North America, which makes it one of the more popular and magnificent falls in the park. The best time to visit this waterfall in during May, and if the view of the fall isn't enough at the base, you can hike to the top! You can check out the fall from this live webcam feed.

Make sure you have that gleaming diamond cluster ring ready for your proposal.
